Accessing Google Classroom

As we move to an online learning environment, the following information may be useful to parents/carers and pupils on how pupils can access Google Classroom. The majority of pupils will have been accessing Google Classroom in their Computing lessons so will know what to do.

As we are a 'Google school', it is beneficial if pupils have access to the Chrome web browser, which can be downloaded for all platforms here.

All of our Google Classrooms can be accessed at this website address: https://classroom.google.com/

Pupils will need to sign-in using their usual Google account username and password. Usernames will need to have the: @astonfields.worcs.sch.uk  at the end of it. These instructions can also be found on our Computing page.

Once in the Google Classroom area, if a pupil was given a code, they need to click on the plus sign on the top right to join a class. Most pupils will already have been added to classrooms. They will see the classes available to them and only need to click on the 'join' box for each class to access work. Google have an instruction page on joining a class which may be useful.

If a pupil has not accessed a classroom before, here are starting instructions: How Do I Sign in to a Classroom
