Thank you to all our pupils, parents/carers and staff who got involved and ‘dressed down’ for Pudsey last week – together we raised over £600!

Online safety at Aston Fields Middle School

Using the internet safely and positively is a key message that we promote here at Aston Fields Middle School. Since March 2020, everyone has been communicating more online and meeting virtually, than ever before, and due to our annual online safety evening for parents/carers not going ahead again this year, we wanted to take this opportunity to share with you a couple of guides produced by Think You Know and CEOP, covering some key issues, including grooming, online bullying, sharing of nudes and semi-nude pictures and social media.

We hope that you find these guides informative and useful, particularly the conversation starters.

Tea and Biscuits with The Headteacher

At the end of every half-term, the Directors of Year Groups and their staff identify one boy and one girl from their year group to be invited to have tea and biscuits with Mr Cox, Headteacher. This is in recognition of their outstanding contribution to school life during the half-term. The pupils who enjoyed this special privilege on Wednesday 20th October were: Year 5 – Greg and Olive, Year 6 – Hieu and Rhian, Year 7 – Harry and Phoebe and Year 8 – Eddie and Mae.
Well done to them all! Keep watching this space to discover who will be invited to tea with Mr Cox next half-term!
